蘭嶼的核廢料與達悟族人相伴了30多年，達仁鄉南田部落也恐成為核廢料永久貯存場，同為台東縣民，同為原住民部落，台電用五十億回饋金來包裹這世紀之毒，用交換式條件來換取部落的發展，以福利殖民的政策來誘騙族人，政府不公義的政策，讓族人不時擔心著核廢料對部落的威脅。
紀錄片以三位女性為主要角色，南田部落傳統領袖「苞勒絲．加那扎凡」，憂心著部落將成為核廢料永久儲存場，無法留給下一代美麗乾淨的土地；核廢料遷出蘭嶼口號喊了30年的「希婻．瑪飛洑」，期盼著核廢料遷出的那一天，讓族人不再受輻射汙染的危害；凝聚台東反核力量的推手「蘇雅婷」，喚起台東人對核廢議題的重視，堅守「乾淨台東，核廢不要」的理念。
面對資源龐大的國家行政體系機器，資源匱乏的她們仍用溫柔且堅定的力量捍衛著部落的權益，挺身而出的精神為現今物質方便的主流社會，給予不同的觀點與省思。
The nuclear waste in Lan-Yu (Orchid Island) has been “temporarily” stayed with the Tao tribe for more than 30 years. The Nan-Tien village of Da-Ren Township, Taitung, might become the permanent storage site for nuclear waste In the near future. Under the cover of 5 billion feedback money from Taipower Company, the indigenous Tao people in Taitung risk their health in exchange of development and welfare of the community.
The film focuses on three female activists from the tribe: Polus Canazefan, the leader of Nan-Tien village, fights against the permanent storage plan and wishes to retain a clean land for the future generation; Cinan Mafifo, who has been fighting against the nuclear waste in Orchid Island for three decades, is looking forward to the day of zero nuclear waste; Su Ya-Ting, one of the organizer of No Nuke activism in Taitung, insists that “clean Taitung has to go with zero nuclear waste.”
The three activists struggling hard against the state apparatus with a firm and steady progress. This film provides a different perspective on the nuclear issue and generates inspiring thoughts.
